The commercial vehicle market in India is growing and the latest sales figure Eicher trucks just proves that CV segment in India is looking positive inspite of the many problems it faces.
Eicher in the month of March '10 sold a total of 3814 units (trucks and buses), making it their highest ever sales to-date.
The sale in March 2010 is 81% higher than the sales of Eicher trucks and buses in March 2009. The company have recorded a growth of 88% in the domestic CV market (5T & above) in March 2010 when compared to March 2009.
The ‘VE Series’ of fuel efficient heavy-duty Eicher trucks have contributed to the substantial growth in Eicher heavy-duty truck numbers in March 2010, leading to an increase of 232% in heavy-duty sales vis-à -vis March 2009.
The export figures have remained the same as March 2009 figures for the range of buses and trucks. This is primarily since export deliveries have been rationalised in order to meet the huge demand in the domestic market. However, the order pipeline from overseas markets continues to grow and pending orders will be executed over the coming months.
