Mercedes continued to dominate the proceedings in the third Grand Prix of the 2014 season, taking one-two in the qualifiers with Nico Rosberg taking the pole position ahead of Hamilton. Ricciardo got some cheers for Red Bull showing qualifying third fastest, however penalty from last week means he will start P13 and promoting Bottas in Williams to P3.
Force India had a mixed day with Perez finally out-qualifying his teammate in P5 and now starting P4, while Hulkenberg missed the Q3. Ferrari of Raikkonen will start on P5 and the McLarens’ of Button and Magnussen sandwich Massa in P7. Alonso was the last of the top-ten cars who will be joined by Vettel on P10 for the start tomorrow.
