If you thought that the Rolls-Royce Cullinan will be another super-luxury soft-roader SUV, you might be in for a surprise. Because as luxurious as it will be, given that it’s a Rolls, the Cullinan might have some jaw-dropping off-road abilities.
And to showcase that, the British marquee has decided to go public with its final phase of testing, calling it the Final Challenge. With help of Cory Richards, the Cullinan will be subjected to multiple off-roading challenges and rough trails across Northern Europe, the Middle Eastern deserts and the vast expanse of the United States.
Torsten Muller-Otvos had promised that the Cullinan will be developed with inputs from all and having such public trials harks back to the early days of Rolls-Royce when the founders subjected new Rollers to the Scottish Reliability Trials, Alpine trials and much more.
The trials will be broadcast daily by National Geographic, documenting the encounters of the crew and the Cullinan from the far-flung locations. The Cullinan is expected to make its public debut within a few months before the deliveries start by the end of 2018.
