Rolls-Royce has announced that it will introduce three new variants of the Spirit of Ecstasy. The flying lady can now be a gilded one, a silver-plated one, or a polycarbonate (plastic, like most of the women we desire!) one.
The polycarbonate flying lady was first shown on the 101EX concept car that made its debut at the 2006 Geneva Auto Show. As if that were not enough, the great RR is now offering the ornament in either a gold plated or solid sterling silver form, so that means more shiny bits from ‘the best car in the world’.
However, according to some reports, if even that is not enough then Rolls-Royce might offer you the chance to select a material that you want used in creating the flying lady, at a special price obviously. As always, to prevent the theft of this symbol of luxury, it will disappear behind the radiator grille when the car has been parked or when the engine has been off for a while.
