The crossover syndrome has hit the entire global market and it seems like luxury car buyers want a premium one to be built. While Bentley has taken the lead and will soon come with its SUV - the Bentagya, Rolls-Royce loyalists want one too, according to a senior official of the company.
Speaking to a publication, Gerry Spahn, North American communication head said the model is still under consideration but there's plenty of demand for it. He jokingly exclaimed, "I have owners yelling at me to get it into production”.
However, the company has not yet decided on building one, but is considering certain designs and will go ahead only if they are convinced. There are rumours though that the Rolls-Royce crossover could be based on the upcoming BMW X7 and would be positioned somewhere between the Phantom and the Ghost.
A lot depends on the parent company BMW, and if they decide to build an X7 considered by many as not happening, then we might see the Rolls-Royce SUV too.
