Looks like 2014 has been an exceptional year for Rolls-Royce. The British luxury car brand has announced record sales results for a fifth consecutive year, with 4,063 cars sold globally during 2014. According to the brand, sales have more than quadrupled since 2009.
Rolls-Royce has reported double-digit growth in most regions, North America (up 30 per cent), the Middle East (up 20 per cent) and Europe (up 40 per cent). The firm’s home market, the United Kingdom, is its fourth largest individual market with sales improving up to 13 per cent. Emerging markets such as Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Vietnam all showed promising growth.
The brand has even revealed its best-selling dealer for 2014 which is the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Abu Dhabi. As part of the marque’s commitment to long-term sustainable growth, six new dealerships were opened in 2014, including Mexico City, Calgary, Canada and Gold Coast, Australia.
Sales were reportedly driven by strong orders for Ghost Series II, launched in November and the Wraith coupe, while the Phantom remains the company’s pinnacle product. Rolls-Royce now has a total of 127 dealerships worldwide, with further expansion in line for 2015.
