Rolls-Royce plans to debut the Ghost Series II at the Geneva Motor Show scheduled for March. The British manufacturer has released a teaser featuring the facelifted saloon before its official unveiling.
Not many details can be gauged from the single picture but we can surely say that the revised car will boast of new LED headlamps. The grille has also been redesigned. The Ghost Series II is expected to have many more minor upgrades including restyled mirrors.
The Ghost Series II will be powered by the same twin-turbo 6.6-litre V12 engine producing 571bhp of power and 780Nm of torque. However, this engine may be re-tuned to deliver an improved performance and a good fuel economy.
Rolls Royce, in a statement mentioned with the teaser, said, "After five years as the cornerstone of Rolls-Royce's sustainable growth success worldwide, this mid-life update is a showcase for the most recent technological advances from Rolls-Royce enrobed in a considered exterior design revision."
The Rolls Royce Ghost was first launched in 2009. The company, for the first time in its run for five years, will be making changes to the car. This revamp comes as an early surprise considering the manufacturer revised the Phantom only in 2012 which was launched in 2003. Rolls-Royce recently launched the Ghost V-Specification in India.
