Following a graceful debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Rolls-Royce Dawn has arrived in the Indian market. This new convertible offering from what is truly the world’s most exquisite carmaker comes at a jaw-dropping price tag of Rs 6.25 crore (Ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Dawn convertible will sit below the Drophead Coupe in the Rolls-Royce line-up. The former, however, is a sportier offering and embodies the British Marquee’s latest design philosophy.
Being a Rolls-Royce, the Dawn highlights its presence with the Spirit of Ecstasy bonnet ornament. Furthermore, its got a low stance and a massive RR signature chrome grille. The cabin is equally opulent thanks to its full wood finish, leather seats and heavy dose of creature comforts with nearly everything electrically assisted. As for the party piece, the Dawn features a neatly detailed canvas roof capable of dropping down in less than 30 seconds.
Under the long bonnet sits a 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12 powerhouse that develops 563bhp and 780Nm of torque. All that power is shifted to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Despite its mammoth proportions and weight, the Dawn is capable of accelerating from 0-100kmph in just less than five seconds and hit an electronically limited top-speed of 250kmph.
The Dawn carries a base price of Rs 6.25 crore; however, each customer can spec their car up with bespokecustomizable options, shooting the price right up .
