- Unveiled in South Africa
- Expected to be offered with petrol power only
The Renault Duster, a new generation, is coming to India next year and the car you see in the pictures is what we will get. This is the first time the car has been showcased in RHD guise and will be produced in India for various global markets. As expected, it mimics the LHD car and of course the Dacia version in terms of features, layout and exterior design but with the steering on the right side.
It will be launched in South Africa, where it was showcased, in March 2025 which means we too will get around the same time. We have looked at the Duster in detail in a separate story which you can check out at the bottom.
The Duster is crucial to Renault as it is their brand legacy. It will be the first of its new products to come to India over the next two years. Other launches include a localised version of the Dacia Bigster, a facelift for the Kiger, and a small electric vehicle.
This new Duster will go up against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, MG Astor and Tata Curvv. It will also spawn an equivalent Nissan model that will arrive a short while after the Duster is launched.
