Continental India, a leading automotive component manufacturer, has announced that it will provide various electronics and electrical components for the upcoming Mahindra Reva E2O (a.k.a the NXR). The components major will provide the basic functions controller (BFC), immobilizer and the keyless entry mechanism for the E20.
The BFC is basically a component from Continental that that is used to implement body electronic features and can be used in a wide variety of cars across all prices and model ranges. The advantage of this component, as the company has put it, is that it is flexible and and can be upgraded as per the requirement.
Commenting on the development, Chetan Maini, chief of technology, Mahindra Reva, said “ We are glad to have partnered a global automotive technology leader like Continental and I am sure that the synergy will result in a superior driving experience for our customers.”
