A week after releasing a teaser video for its new D-segment offering, Renault has officially revealed the evocatively named Talisman. With a design language previously unseen in any form of Renault, the Talisman is expected to replace the Laguna mid-size sedan.
The car will feature several luxurious features including a 7-inch digital instrument display under the dashboard, an 8.7-inch screen, colour head-up display technology, Bose surround sound and hands-free parking.
Rather interestingly, the Talisman will also feature four-wheel steering with active damping, allowing it to deliver enhanced road manners.
The Talisman, along with the estate version, is poised to play an active part in the renewal of Renault’s high-end range. Both vehicles will be manufactured at the brand’s Douai plant in France.
Following its online debut, the Talisman will be presented at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show in September. While the car will go on sale in Europe at the end of the year, Renault has announced that there is no current plan for Talisman to be sold in the United Kingdom or Ireland.
