Following the launch of the Renault Fluence on the 23rd of May, Renault will then bring in its soft-roader SUV, the Koleos towards the end of 2011. The Koleos is an easy to drive city SUV with manageable dimensions with some off-roading ability. We expect Renault to sell the Koleos in three versions - two petrols and one diesel.
What is certain is that the diesel engine on the Koleos will be a 2-litre diesel and it will produce close to 150bhp of power and 320Nm of torque. It will however only come with a 6-speed automatic transmission and in all wheel drive form. The two petrol versions of the SUV Koleos meanwhile will use the same 2.5-litre, 170bhp engine but the all wheel drive version will come with a CVT automatic gearbox and the front wheel driver variant will get a 6-speed manual gearbox.
That’s not all however. Because beginning 2012 Renault will launch three more models in the course of the year. The first will be a hatchback followed by another SUV and finally a more affordable sedan.
