Renault has unveiled the Clio RS 18 with styling touches that are said to pay homage to company’s most famous Formula One vehicles. With black Renault emblems, badges, diffuser, and paint, the RS 18 cuts a mean stance. The monotone look is primarily broken up via yellow highlights around the lower air intake, alloy wheel centre caps, and side sills. The car also has grey decals, RS 18 badging on the doors, and Renault Sport’s double-diamond logo on the roof.
Named after Renault Sport’s 2018 Formula One contender, the limited edition model is based on the Clio RS220 EDC Trophy. As such, it has a six-speed dual-clutch transmission, and a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine cranking out 225bhp of power and 280Nm of torque available on over-boost. On the inside, the RS 18 has numbered plates, a steering wheel covered in a mixture of faux suede and leather, and fake carbon-fibre trim around the air vents. Fast, practical and paying homage to the F1 cars of yore, the Clio RS 18 is definitely on our wishlist.
