-Four variants
-1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine
-Five colour options
The Renault Triber has been launched in India at Rs 4.95 lakhs (ex-showroom). There are four variants with five colour options and petrol engine on offer with the Triber. Bookings for the compact people carrier began on 17 August and we have also had a first look review at the Triber and you can read about that here.
On the outside, the Triber gets the signature Renault grille, projector headlamps while in profile you can see the MPV shape along with the black cladding and flared rear wheel arches.
The cabin is a black and beige affair with three rows of seating where the last row can be removed completely to access a 625-litre boot. One of the highlights of the Triber is that the second and third-row can be folded in various combinations or as Renault puts its “modes” for extra space.
The top-spec RXZ variant gets an AC with second-row vents and a cooled glovebox, multiple storage spaces, dual front glove boxes and a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. We have examined the touchscreen system in detail and you can read about that here.
The Triber is being offered with a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine producing 72bhp/96Nm. The transmission on offer is a five-speed manual with a five-speed AMT expected to arrive as a planned update for the Triber.
The Renault Triber is a rival for the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grandi10 and the Grand i10 Nios as well as the Ford Figo and the Tata Tigor.
