We already reported that Renault Triber will be available in four variants. Now, Renault India has confirmed to CarWale that the Triber will be launched in India in August. Further, we can also reveal that deliveries are expected to commence towards the end of next month. Sources are speculating that the Triber is likely to launch in India on 22 August. However, we will wait for Renault India to confirm the official launch date.
Bookings for the Renault Triber are set to commence next week. The Triber will compete against the Maruti Suzuki Swift and the Hyundai Grand i10. However, the ability to seat seven adults and smart packaging will be its biggest USP. The car will come with four airbags, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system, AC vents in all rows and much more.
Under the hood, the Renault Triber will be powered by a 1.0-litre 'Energy' petrol engine that is capable of producing a maximum power of 71bhp and a peak torque of 96Nm. This engine can be availed with either a five-speed manual gearbox or an Easy-R AMT. The Triber is expected to be produced between Rs 5-7 lakhs (ex-showroom).
