The Renault Triber has been launched in India, with prices starting at Rs 4.95 lakhs (ex-showroom, all India). In India, the model will take on the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and the Datsun Go+. Let’s see how the new Triber fares against its rivals in India.
Maruti Suzuki Swift
One of the most significant rivals to the Renault Triber, the Maruti Swift is the leader in the segment. Feature wise, the model is loaded with LED headlamps, diamond-cut alloy wheels, LED tail lights, seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system and all-black interiors. The Triber, on the other hand, receives features such as four airbags as well as AC vents and 12V charging sockets for all three rows.
Hyundai Grand i10 Nios
The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is one of the newest models in the segment that sits above its sibling, the Grand i10. Feature highlights of this model include automatic climate control, steering mounted controls and a dual-tone exterior. Apart from the Grand i10 Nios, the Triber is the only model in the segment to offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Datsun Go+
Another major rival for the Triber is the Datsun Go+. The model is also the only other product in the segment to offer a seven-seat layout. The model does score a few more features when compared to the latest product from Renault such as Brake Assist, EPS, Vehicle Dynamic Control and keyless entry. The Renault Triber also has a few unique features when compared to the Go+ that include push-button start/stop, dual-tone interiors and a cooled glove box.
