Renault Triber was launched in the country late in August at a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 4.95 lakhs. This time around, Renault has commenced deliveries of the Triber in Mumbai. The first four Mumbai customers who received their vehicles had pre-booked the vehicle at a token amount of Rs 11,000. This handover kick starts the delivery of Renault Triber in India through its wide network of over 350 sales facilities across the country.
Renault Triber is available in four variants - RXE, RXL, RXT and the RXZ. Each version is priced at a gap of Rs 50,000 and comes with an additional set of features to meet individual requirements. The vehicle is powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission to generate 72bhp/96Nm. Interestingly, the Triber is available in seven-seat configuration and it gets more than 20 key features as standard equipment across all trims.Â
Renault Triber is part of Renault’s product offensive strategy and it has been designed with an objective of doubling the sales volume to 2,00,000 units annually in India. Renault is working on building its presence in the rural markets and as part of its plans, Renault will begin activity targeting 330 rural towns across 18 states that will be completed this year. Furthermore, Renault boasts that its dealership teams have recruited specialized sales consultants to reach out to unrepresented rural markets.
