Renault has witnessed manifold increase in sales in the country and has emerged as a strong brand. The company’s India facility is a major export hub and moving forward it will now begin Kwid exports to Nepal as well. Recently, the company had also introduced the Duster in Nepal, thereby marking its entry with its two strong selling models.
With plans to expand its presence in the SAARC region, Renault has collaborated with Vishal Group which own the state-of- the-art showroom facility named Advanced Automobiles Pvt. Ltd. The facility has been designed on the RENAULTSTORE concept and it has been conceptualised to address the evolving needs of customers.
The Renault Kwid will continue to be offered in 800cc and recently introduced 1.0-litre petrol engine options. The smaller engine generates about 54bhp of power and 72Nm of torque, while the bigger 1.0-litre engine generates 68bhp and 91bhp of power. Both the engines come mated to a five-speed manual transmission. In terms of design, the bigger engine variant comes with silver housing on wing mirrors and chequered decals on the sides.
