Renault has created yet another jazzed-up version of the Duster for a motor show. This time around it’s the Sao Paulo Auto Show wherein the French carmaker has revealed the Duster Extreme Concept. This new creation shows the Duster in its most hardcore off-road avatar yet.
Designed by Renault Design Latin America, the concept uses a standard Duster 2-litre AWD as its base and amplifies the vehicle’s off-road prowess with a range of customisations. Design wise, the concept gets a mean-looking grey paint with red inserts, different headlights and front and rear bumpers.
The Duster Extreme Concept also gets off-road tyres, jacked up suspension, a roof rack and a tow hook. Under the hood, it seems Renault has retained the 2-litre 140bhp engine in stock form. The engine is a flex fuel unit which means it can also run using ethanol.
Besides the Duster Extreme Concept, Renault is also showcasing a specially built Kwid called the ‘Kwid Outsider’ at the Sao Paulo Auto Show. The latter uses a snazzy paint scheme, bigger wheels, different bumpers and meatier plastic cladding all around to attract visitors.
