Renault will launch the new C-segment sedan, the Scala, on 7 September. The rebadged and redesigned Nissan Sunny will be positioned at a premium over its Japanese sibling, to compete mainly with the Honda City, VW Vento, Ford Fiesta and Hyundai Verna. Renault has now released teaser on its Facebook page regarding the launch, says “It’s time to Step up!”
The Renault Scala will be available in both petrol and diesel guise. The petrol variants will be powered by 1.5-litre mill producing 99bhp and 134Nm of torque; the oilburner is Renault’s renowned 1.5-litre K9K with power rating of 86bhp and 200Nm. We are expecting Renault to offer two petrol variants – RxE and RxL; and two diesel variants – RxL and RxZ. The French car maker may also offer ABS-EBD and alloy-wheels as standard across all variants.
We have spent some time with the Renault Scala, and bring you First Drive Review of the sedan with few interesting photos.
