Renault recently took the wraps off the Megan estate. It already has the Megane hatchback in both two-door and four-door format. However, now a sedan version has been spotted doing the rounds in Europe.
The pictures show us that this car will get the new Renault face, tail lamps and side profile up to the C-pillar. As compared to the hatchback, the roofline too has been lowered a bit as the sedan will be longer than the hatchback.
Our sources suggest that this car will replace the Fluence sedan in Renault’s lineup and the French automaker is likely to retire the latter as it has not achieved the kind of success that Renault has wanted with it. It has already done this with the Talisman and the Laguna brand names. If this happens, then the Megane will finally make its way to India but only in the sedan form.
It is expected to make use of the same cabin and engine lineup from the hatchback and estate car. This will include a range of petrol and diesel motors as well as one diesel hybrid which will be similar to the HY-KERS unit used by their F1 team.
