Renault India is looking for further expansion in the country via smaller cities and rural markets. Leading this charge will be the recently launched Triber as well as at least one new model every year until 2022.
In the pursuit of future expansion, the French automaker has said that it is banking on the support of its 120 dealer partners to set up smaller touch points and mobile showrooms. This policy of lighter showrooms is expected to reduce costs for the automaker but also bring the brand to wider audiences. The automaker has mapped out an ambitious plan to make its presence be known in 330 towns and 400 villages within the next one year.
This large scale expansion is a part of Renault’s plan to double its market share in India by 2022 and an assurance that it will have a presence across all the budget segments of the car market.Â
