Renault has introduced 25 new features in its newest offering rechristened as the Lodgy ‘World Edition’. The new eight-seat feature loaded variants are available in 85PS priced at Rs 9.74 lakh and 110PS priced at Rs 10.40 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The changes are restricted to cosmetic upgrades, while mechanically it continues to be powered by the existing engine options. The new variants are available in shades of - fiery red, royal orchid, pearl white and moonlight silver.
The Lodgy ‘World Edition’ is distinguished from its regular version as it is offered with jewel-studded chrome front grille, body coloured bumpers with chrome upper grille moulding, front fog lamps with chrome surround, front and rear wheel cladding, front and rear skid plates, side sill with jet black finish, dual tone roof rails with chrome satin finish and black door side cladding with chrome strip. Additionally, the new version also gets R15 Nepta finish alloy wheels, World Edition side and rear decals, body coloured rear spoiler, printed matte along with textured B and C pillar stripping, ‘World Edition’ badge and electrically adjustable mirrors.
Moving to the interiors, the Renault Lodgy ‘ World Edition’ gets a dashboard with chrome finish centre trims, new anodized orange finish on air vents, classic Gris Fume monotone door trim, new seat fabric upholstery with anodized orange accents and glossy black foam steering wheel with two-toned World Edition badge. Additionally, it also comes with stylish vinyl gear shift bellows with contrast stitch, chrome parking brake lever button, chrome inside door handle, instrument cluster with anodized orange finish center ring, anodized orange accentuated Lodgy floor mats and Renault sill plates.
In efforts to provide better ownership experience to customers Renault undertakes - the 3CARE initiative, which provides comprehensive maintenance which includes 3 years of warranty (up to 60,000 kms), 3 years of road side assistance (up to 60,000 Kms) and 3 years of periodic maintenance service (up to 30,000 Kms). Interested customers can avail of this facility which is offered at costs starting at Rs 22,142.
Under the hood, the new variant continues to be powered by a 1.5 litre dCi (Common Rail Direct Injection) engine in two tunes – 108bhp and 84bhp. The powerful version comes mated to a six-speed manual transmission and returns fuel efficiency figures of about 19.98kmpl, while the less powerful variant comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission and returns a fuel efficiency figure of about 21.04kmpl. As for safety, it comes with driver airbag, ABS combined with EBD and Brake Assist.
