- Kwid facelift will come with a new front fascia and BS-VI engine
- The model takes its design inspiration from the Kwid K-ZE
Renault India has begun working on a facelifted version of the Kwid. A spy video shared on the web reveals a single unit of the Kwid facelift covered with camouflage during a public road test. Renault India recently launched the Duster facelift and the brand will also launch the Triber in the near future.
The Kwid facelift test-mule has a new fascia, including a redesigned bumper, new grille, new fog lamps and a larger air dam. The front of the Renault Kwid facelift is inspired from the Kwid K-ZE. Currently, there are no details regarding the interiors of the Kwid facelift although the model could receive new upholstery and an updated MediaNav infotainment system from the Triber.
Powering the upcoming Renault Kwid facelift will be BS-VI emission compliant versions of the 1.0-litre, three cylinder petrol engine and the 0.8-litre three cylinder petrol motor. These engines will continue to be offered with a five speed manual transmission and an AMT. The Kwid facelift is expected to be launched in India in 2020.
