- Kwid Climber facelift details leaked ahead of an impending launch
- The model will be offered with manual and AMT transmissions
Ahead of its launch that is likely to take place in the coming weeks, undisguised images of the Renault Kwid Climber facelift have been leaked on the web. The new images reveal the front, rear and side profile of the top-end variant of the Kwid.
Up-front, the Renault Kwid Climber facelift features a split headlamp design inspired by the Kwid K-ZE EV, with the upper unit housing LED DRLs and integrated turn indicators while the lower unit houses the headlamps. The three slat grille features chrome strips on the first slat, divided by the Renault logo. Also on offer is a faux skid plate. On either side, the model is equipped with roof rails, gunmetal grey alloy wheels and body cladding. The posterior receives C-shaped LED tail lights and a faux skid plate. Features exclusive to the Climber trim will include orange accents on the front and rear skid plates, headlamp surrounds and orange ORVMs.
Inside, the Renault Kwid Climber facelift will come equipped with a new eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone integration borrowed from the Triber, redesigned air vents, piano black inserts for the steering wheel, fully digital instrument cluster and orange accents for the gear lever and air vent surrounds.
Powertrain options on the Renault Kwid Climber facelift could include the BS-VI compliant versions of the 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre petrol engines. Transmission options would include a five-speed manual gearbox and an AMT unit.
