Renault Kwid 02 Anniversary Special edition launched

Renault Kwid celebrates its second anniversary in India with the launch of the Kwid 02 Anniversary Special Edition. The new Anniversary Editions will be available in 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre engine options and is priced at Rs 3,42,800 (ex-Delhi) and Rs 3,64,400 (ex-Delhi) respectively. The special edition models will be available only in manual transmission and costs an additional Rs 15,000 over and above the regular Kwid RXT 0.8L and Kwid RXL 1.0L.

Features like 7-inch touchscreen MediaNAV system, digital Instrument cluster, one-touch lane change indicator and radio speed dependent volume control have been carried forth from the existing model. The new Kwid 02 Anniversary Special edition additionally gets sporty interior and exterior detailing. The new models are available in two colour options - red with white accents, and white with red accents. It gets SportLine graphics with 02 Insignia and the Angular 02 Insignia on the hood, which distinctively indicates the exclusivity of the 2nd Anniversary Edition. Additionally, the special edition cars also get cosmetic upgrades like the C-Pillar and roof SportLine graphics, two-tone ORVMs, painted SportLine style wheels and front and rear skid plates.   

As for the interior, the Kwid 02 Anniversary Special Edition gets new SportLine seat upholstery with contrast 02, ivory contours on the centre fascia and on the AC vents. The ivory contours can be seen on the dual tone gear knob as well along with the new floor mats with 02 insignia and the sporty steering with 02 Insignia. Mechanically, it continues to be powered in the existing engine options, where the 800cc variant generates 54bhp of power at 5,678rpm and 72Nm of torque at 4,368rpm, while the larger 999cc engine generates 67bhp of power at 5,500rpm and 91Nm of torque at 4,250rpm.
