Renault’s new C-segment crossover, the Kadjar, will be priced from £17,995 (Rs 17.69 lakh) onwards .when it hits the showrooms in the UK in September this year. First revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in March, the Kadjar will be sold alongside Renault’s B-segment crossover offering, the Captur.
Renault has revealed that the Kadjar will be offered in an 18-version line-up based on four trim levels – Expression+, Dynamique Nav, Dynamique S Nav and Signature Nav.
The Kadjar is based on the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s new Common Module Family (CMF) architecture, which allows a wide range of cars of different sizes to be created using different modules. The crossover will be available with three engine options - a 130bhp, 1.2-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol unit, the 1.5-litre 110bhp four-cylinder diesel and the 1.6-litre four-cylinder 130bhp diesel.
UK deliveries for the Kadjar are expected to begin starting late September, with European versions of the crossover being built at Renault’s Palencia plant in Spain. While in 2016, the Kadjar will become the first Renault to be made in China as a result of a joint venture with Dongfeng.
