One of India’s notable car exporters, Renault India is looking to scale things up by amplifying their exports. The French automaker is looking to make India as their manufacturing hub.
Having exported the Duster crossover and the Kwid hatchback to Sri Lanka last month, Renault India is now preparing to enter other neighbouring countries including Nepal and Bhutan. However, that’s not all as the brand is even looking at Africa for export opportunities.
Although Renault India exported just 56 units in the April-June period during the last fiscal, the brand witnessed a significant growth this fiscal, exporting 441 units thanks to the Kwid. Given this rise in demand for the export markets, Renault has now increased the production of the Kwid at its Chennai facility.
