- Three-unit range currently on sale
- Two new SUVs and an electric vehicle are planned over the next two years
Renault India sold 32,167 units up to September 2024 as compared to 40,020 units in the corresponding period last year leading to a 19 per cent drop in overall sales numbers. Compared to the previous year, buyer sentiments have been a little down, especially in the lower parts of the market where Renault is currently present but it is expected to have a good festival season and thus its overall numbers at the end of the CY are expected to reflect better.
Renault will also begin its premium innings in 2025 by launching localised versions of the Duster and Bigster. This is expected to be followed by a facelift for the Kiger and then a small electric vehicle which we believe will be an electric version of the Kwid.
Over the course of 2024, Renault first updated the Kwid, Kiger and Triber in terms of features and then for the festive season had a limited production run ‘Day and Night Edition’ of the Kiger, Triber and Kwid. These are totally limited to 1600 units and are being sold on a first-come, first-buy basis.
