Renault has showcased the little Kwid hatchback in two brand new avatars. The highlight of the Kwid’s run so far may have been the 1.0-litre and 1.0-litre AMT variants but what we saw today has taken it to a whole new level. The two concept cars, Kwid racer and Kwid Climber represent two very different philosophies.
First, the Kwid Climber concept car. It is based on the standard hatchback but gets all usual bits to make it a nice and impressive looking little rock climber.
There is a body kit, pattern tyres, big bumpers, side moulding and seeming large diamond –effect alloy wheels. If that were not attention seeking enough, then the flame orange paint should make this a ‘larger-than-life’ you will not ever want to miss.
Its track going counterpart is the Kwid Racer which as the name suggest is a race prepped Kwid painted in the same iconic colour scheme of the erstwhile Renault Alpine race car. It gets large wheels, lowered stance, projector headlamps and quite a mean looking grille.
