Renault Duster second anniversary edition launched for Rs 8.88 lakh

Renault has launched the 2nd anniversary edition of its highly successful crossover the Duster for Rs 8.88 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The anniversary edition is based on the RxE Adventure variant and gets all the features of the model with added novelty. 

The limited edition model front guard with integrated fog lamps and smoked headlamps. The interior looks like any other Duster, but it gets neon accents everywhere. It gets the reliable 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine that produces 83bhp and 200Nm of torque mated to a five-speed manual transmission. 

The Duster 2nd Anniversary Edition also gets free roadside assistance and extended warranty. Renault will also soon launch the facelifted version and an additional all-wheel drive variant of the Duster. 

The Duster has been one of the most successful vehicles from the Renault stable in India. It literally put Renault into the spotlight and also marked the beginning of crossover segment in India. Not that we didn’t have crossovers before, the Chevrolet Forester was the first crossover to be sold in Indian market. The product was very good, but a lot of factors played against it. However, the Duster changed it all and went on to become the nation’s favourite crossover. Renault managed to sell more than one lakh units of the Duster in these two years.
