Renault Duster reportedly gets a price cut of over Rs 50,000

If you have had your eye set on a Renault Duster, now is probably just the right time to make your purchase as the capable compact SUV is reportedly being offered with a price cut of up to Rs 52,000. The generous discount is being offered to cash in on the upcoming festive season which generally sees a whole load of automakers giving away massive benefits to boost sales.

According to the report, Renault has reduced the ex-showroom price of the entry-level Duster RxE diesel to Rs 8.18 lakh as opposed to Rs 8.70 lakh. In addition to the price cut, the company is also giving away a 2+2 years or 80,000km extended warranty to its customers.

The benefits do not end there. In order to make the entry-level Duster even more appealing, Renault is also offering free insurance, an assured gift worth Rs 20,000 and free road side assistance for four years. However, the report also says that the price cut is limited to just the entry- level RxE diesel variant and that the vehicle can be booked by September 15, 2014. 

With deliveries expected to start by the end of this month, the cut-price Duster RxE will take on the midrange diesel variants of the Ford EcoSport. It is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine which produces 84bhp of power and 200Nm of torque. The more powerful 110PS tune is reserved for select higher-spec variants.
