Renault’s latest SUV, the Duster, has been recognised by the J.D. Power Asia Pacific 2013 India Initial Quality Study (IQS) for its outstanding quality. This recognition for the car is an excellent achievement for the carmaker especially when it was compared with 15 other SUVs in the same segment.
The study includes analysis of the quality of engine, transmission, vehicle exteriors, interiors and driving experience. The Renault Duster is ranked second amongst other vehicles in the SUV segment. This is, considering the quality of these cars produced between November 2012 and July 2013.
Duster, the most recent SUV from the European carmaker, has been enjoying a good demand in the Indian market despite the new launches like Ford Ecosport and Nissan Terrano. The Duster has been rewarded with 29 awards till now. This includes the title of ‘The Car of the Year’ and a prize for the highest customer satisfaction in its segment of cars.
Marc Nassif, Managing Director, Renault India said, “While developing Duster for India, ‘quality first’ remained our mantra and the entire Renault team, along with our network of suppliers across the country, worked on the project with the same spirit. Today’s recognition is a credit to the team’s efforts, especially since the J.D. Power IQS is determined by customers based on their ownership experience and regarded as a true measure of success in the market.”
