Weeks after making its online debut in several spy photographs, the Renault Duster Oroch has been officially unveiled in Brazil. The stylish pick-up model is set to appear at the 2015 Buenos Aires Motor Show later this month.
Based on the Duster compact SUV, the Oroch slots in between the half and one-tonne pick-ups. With four doors and five seats, Renault says it combines a double cab with a level of space comparable to a bigger pickup. The French automaker has also revealed that the Oroch is scheduled for to be launched in Brazil in the second half of 2015.
When launched, the Duster Oroch will be offered with a range of 1.6 and 2.0-litre four cylinder engines. While its primary market will be Brazil, there is a possibility that, Renault could introduce it in certain European markets to capitalise on the growing popularity of the Duster. Given the lack of demand for pickup models here in India, it is safe to say that the Oroch isn’t headed for the Indian market anytime soon.
