Renault Duster launched in India for Rs 7.19 lakh

Renault has launched their much awaited five-seater SUV for a very competitive starting price of Rs 7.19 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). As confirmed before the Duster will be available with three engine options – a 1.6-litre petrol (102bhp and 148Nm), 1.5-litre dCi diesel (85bhp and 200Nm) and 1.5-litre dCi (110bhp and 250Nm). The petrol Duster and the 85bhp dCi diesel version will be available in two variants – RxE and RxL, the more powerful 110bhp diesel will be available in RxL and top-of-the-line RxZ model.

The top-end variant gets all the safety features with dual-airbags, ABS - EBD with brake assist and impact sensing door Unlock. Sadly, the Duster does not get the 4x4 transmission at this moment, but that is a decent compromise considering that this car is more of an urban crossover. The Duster will be also be exported from India to the UK market with Dacia badge by the end of this year.
