A camouflaged version of the facelifted Renault Duster has been spotted testing in India. It was launched for the European markets early last year but was available as a Dacia since mid-2013. The car gets a significant number of cosmetic updates both inside and outside.
The external changes include a new grille, head lamps as well as alloy-wheels. The revised cabin design and feature list were launched with the India-spec facelift earlier this year. However, we can expect that there will be a few more features when the compact SUV is finally launched.
It is expected to be launched later this year and will be for the first time offered with a dual clutch AT but will continue with the same set of engines for both the petrol and diesel models. The presence of this model comes at a crucial time as the Duster’s major rival, the Hyundai Creta, is all set to pull the rug from under its feet. Given that the Duster is produced in RHD form for all markets at the Chennai plant, it should not take too much time to launch once it is unveiled.
