Renault India has launched the facelifted version of the Duster for a starting price of Rs 8.47 (ex-showroom Delhi). The Hyundai Creta rival gets cosmetic updates and is now available with a six-speed AMT transmission, mated to the 110bhp diesel engine.
The Duster facelift comes with the updated CMO10 & T4 E&E architecture, with host of changes both to the exterior and interior. The SUV now looks aggressive with the new headlamp design. Even the tail lamps are new and now include LED elements. The other changes to the outside include kayak roof rails, gun metal finish alloy-wheels and ORVMs with turn indicators. Renault has introduced new cayenne orange exterior colour with the update.
The interior of the Duster has also been refreshed. The car now has soft touch material for the dashboard, giving it a premium touch. The features list now includes rear view camera with guidelines, automatic air conditioning, navigation and auto-up/down driver side window with anti-pinch.
The Duster gets the same three engine options as before – the 1.6-litre petrol producing 102bhp and 145Nm, 1.5-litre diesel producing 85bhp and 200Nm and the more powerful 1.5-litre diesel producing 110bhp and 245Nm. There is also an AWD option with the 110bhp variant. The major update to the mechanicals however is the introduction of the six-speed AMT transmission – this option is available with the 110bhp, 2WD spec car with price starting Rs 11.67 lakh.
