Renault has unveiled a special first anniversary edition of the Duster compact SUV. It is based on the RxZ 110PS option pack and features body graphics and a new shade of paint which the company has called Cosmos Blue. This seems to be shade that is normally offered only on export spec versions of the compact SUV.
The Renault Duster option pack comes with leather seats, a touchscreen infotainment system with Sat Nav, Bluetooth, USB with AUX compatibility and R16 alloy wheels. The engine is a 110bhp with 248Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox.
The advertisement for the anniversary edition Duster also says that the offer is valid till the end of this month and those purchasing the car will get exchange benefits of up to Rs 60,000, two years added warranty, free roadside assistance for four years and membership to the Gang of Duster Club.
However, the biggest detail that is missing is the price of the anniversary edition. We expect that for such absolutely minimal changes that Renault has made to the vehicle it may be priced Rs 2,000-Rs 5,000 over the standard RxZ diesel optional pack.
Meanwhile Renault’s subsidiary Dacia has launched the facelifted Duster for the Romanian market. It is priced at 10, 900 (Rs 9.15 lakh) Euros while the top spec diesel variant (equivalent of our 110PS RxZ optional pack) has been priced at 17, 000 Euros (Rs 14.26 lakh).
