Renault India has announced a 67.8 per cent increase in domestic sales for October 2016. The carmaker also achieved the milestone of selling one lakh vehicles from Jan-Oct this year.
Renault sold 12,409 vehicles in India last month in comparison to the 7,396 units sold in October 2015. The carmaker overall sold 1,11,387 units from January to October showing the continuous growth of the brand. Even if the carmaker has not given out the model-wise break-up of sales numbers, the highlight in the boost of sales numbers continues to be the Kwid compact hatchback. The facelifted Duster and Lodgy also continue to have a fairly good demand pushing the overall sales numbers.
And it’s not just the demand of Renault vehicles that is increasing due to the carmaker’s continuous efforts. The carmaker is also focused on opening new dealerships across the country to strengthen their after-market sales. With this as their aim, they plan to open 270 outlets all over India by the end of this year. Currently there are 250 facilities across the country to take care of customer needs.
