The premium crossover from Renault, the Captur had been launched in India last year. However, the vehicle was limited to a manual variant when it was introduced in the country. This time around, reports have emerged stating that the company will launch an automatic petrol variant in India next year. The vehicle is also expected to be offered with a CVT unit from the Duster.
Changes will be limited to the automatic upgrade in the petrol version, while the rest of the features will be carried forward from the existing model. The petrol version gets a 1.5-litre H4K petrol engine that generates 105bhp of power and 142Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre K9K diesel generates 109bhp of power and 240Nm of torque. The petrol version gets a five-speed manual transmission, while the diesel version comes mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
Speaking of features, the top-spec version of the Captur gets leather upholstery and touchscreen infotainment system with audio and navigation. The vehicle also gets features such as projector headlamps, a chrome grille, LED DRL and dual tone body colour option.
