Renault India has begun the export of the right-hand drive Duster from Chennai, where the car is manufactured. The first batch of 350 export Dusters are headed for the UK and Ireland.
Renault's Indian facility at Oragadam, near Chennai, is the only place on the planet where the right-hand drive Dusters are manufactured, so that bodes well for Duster owners; spares availablity and cost will not be a problem for them.
Since being launched in the Indian market in July this year, the Duster has sold nearly 19,000 units, a very respectable figure of nearly 3800 units per month. We can't help but notice that the lovely deep blue paint shade being exported isn't available for the Indian market. How about a limited edition version, Renault?
