The arrival of the Nissan Terrano has certainly intensified the competition in the compact SUV segment. With the Terrano and the Ford EcoSport doing good sales numbers, Renault has been prompted to become more competitive to fight the battle.
The company, as a result, has quietly slipped in a new variant of the Duster 85PS. Called RxL Plus, this new variant comes with all the necessary safety features like airbags, ABS and EBD. However, the safety features mentioned above are not available in the base-spec RxE variant.
Mechanically, the RxL Plus remains the same as the rest of the Duster’s 85PS range. The SUV comes powered by Renault’s highly efficient 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine producing 85PS of power and 200Nm of torque. With the addition of the RxL Plus, the Duster 85PS range now starts from Rs 8.90 lakh and goes up to Rs 11.18 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
