-Gets a Supercharged 5.0 litre V8 petrol engine
-Also gets uprated brakes and unique calibration for electronics
We love the Range Rover Velar. It looks fantastic, feels luxurious and is pretty capable too. But Range Rover decided it wasn’t enough and the Velar needs to pack in some more. As a result we have the Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition.
What gives it a whole new purpose is the new 5-litre, supercharged V8 pumping out an insane 550bhp which makes the Velar hit 100kmph in just 4.5 seconds and go on to hit a top speed of 274kmph while you enjoy the twin-stitched, perforated and quilted Windsor leather which is unique to the SVA.Â
On the outside, the SVA gets a new front bumper with larger air intakes to feed the V8 Supercharged engine and cool the uprated braking system. A new grille and lower side mouldings combine with a revised rear bumper featuring integrated quad exhaust finishers.Â
Calibrations for the AWD system, Active Rear Locking Differential, eight-speed transmission, steering and air suspension have all been honed and are bespoke to the SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition, delivering a more focused driving experience. Engineers at Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations spent plenty of hours fine-tuning the unique calibration to optimise the ride, handling and responsiveness.
While India gets two diesels and a turbo-petrol option for the Velar in India, it remains to be seen if they launch it in India.
