The Range Rover family was completed last year with the SV Autobiography variant joining in last year. After that, the British marque has now moved the focus towards updating the Range Rover line-up all over again. The first set of pictures of the updated Range Rover has been spotted undergoing cold weather testing already.
The highly camouflaged test mule hints at a new headlight and taillight design for the updated Range Rover. The new lighting signature was introduced in 2014, so the new mid-life update is most likely to bring the new headlamp and tail lamp motif which could also be seen on the upcoming new Range Rover Velar. The front grille and air vents remain untouched, though; while the rear remains the same as well. The test mule cleverly hides the trademark side-gills under the camouflage and is actually riding on the Range Rover Sport’s alloy wheels.
With the update, the Range Rover powertrain could get a new addition along with more driving techs and creature comforts. Though JLR has not revealed any details about the new Range Rover but the mid-life update to the Range Rover is expected to arrive only next year. It would be followed by the Range Rover Sport plug-in hybrid in the last quarter of 2018. JLR will bring the updated Range Rover to India as well
