Jaguar Land Rover will launch the much-awaited Range Rover Evoque Convertible in India tomorrow. This vehicle will then be India’s first luxury compact convertible SUV.
The Range Rover Evoque Convertible SUV shares its underpinnings, powertrain options and a host of its features with the current Range Rover Evoque on sale. However, this upcoming convertible SUV will be a two-door model with a smaller boot, unlike the five-door hard-top Range Rover Evoque. Nonetheless, it will borrow most of the styling elements with a two-tone orange and black shade. The USP of this vehicle is the retractable soft-top roof, which along with the A-pillars will be coloured in black, and the lower body will sport a bright orange shade.
Land Rover India has already listed the new Range Rover Evoque Convertible on their website. It is expected to be offered in only one variant – HSE Dynamic. This model will come powered by the brand’s tried and tested 2.0-litre Si4 petrol mill. This 1,998cc four-cylinder engine produces 237bhp and 340Nm of torque and comes mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission as standard.
We had shown you the spyshots of the Range Rover Evoque Convertible in India a couple of years ago. After this long wait of two years, Indian fans and aficionados will finally get to see the production version of this convertible SUV as a 2018 model year car. Prices will be announced tomorrow. Stay tuned to CarWale.
