Ram may have just publicly revealed that its 1500 pick-up truck could get the Hellcat iteration with 707 horses on tap.
According to a website called AllPar, Ram engineers are currently developing a Hellcat-powered 1500 pickup that may debut in a few months. Sources state that the biggest clue was hidden in the official images of new Ram which was released to the press. As can be seen, the ‘Uconnect’ screen time was set to 7:07, which is exactly the same amount of power found in the Hellcat Hemi V8.
Of all the pictures that were disclosed, only the Ram Rebel had the 7:07 time on the screen. Since the Rebel is the sportiest model in the line-up, rumours have it that the Hellcat engine could ideally make it to this version. Let’s clear this out for you. This isn’t the first time that FCA has hinted at a future model's power output through the time displayed on the infotainment- it was also done with the Dodge Challenger Demon.
For now, enthusiasts are going to revel at the idea of a Ram with a Hellcat powertrain. This model could essentially gain some traction from the success of the Viper-powered Ram SRT-10 from the mid-2000s. But for now, we’ll just have to wait and watch. Stay tuned.
