Day 2 of the Rainforest Challenge went through SS7 to SS12 to complete the Prologue. The Prologue is like the warm-up before you start working out with the challenge getting steeper in the Predator and the Terminator legs of the Rainforest Challenge. But if you thought Prologue was easy, we will run you through Day 2 with some of the best clicks we could manage in the incessant rain.
The ditches filled up to the brim and slush got deeper and this car lost its clutch enroute SS7
But that did not stop the competitors from giving it all and climbing out of impossible trenches of SS12
It was team work that laddered the cars up, completing challenge after challenge.
And after a gruelling stage, the men and their machines take a breather, lining up for the next.
Those who bruised their cars across a challenge started getting them back into shape immediately.
And some carried on with the bruises, hunting down the next obstacle and strategizing their foray.
I am now certain that cars can climb walls and that is because of feats like this.
And then if you do not get it absolutely right, the only thing to fall back on is safety roll-cage
Marshals and other competitors got together to help these guys out, keeping the damage minimal.
Teamwork is the only way you can beat the competition and record the fastest times for a stage.
It is not only about brute force, but technique and attention to details that will ensure a finish.
And then the customary picture of the crazy capability of the builds. Engineering at its best.
