- Engine options expected to receive BS-VI updates
Ahead of its launch that is expected to take place next year, the Tata Nexon facelift has been spotted testing once again. New spy images shared on the web reveal a test-mule of the model that reveal a few crucial details.
As seen in the spy images, the facelifted Tata Nexon will receive a new fascia, including a reworked bumper, redesigned bonnet and new headlamp clusters. Also seen on the model is the new L shaped LED DRL design.
A few other notable changes on the Nexon facelift test-mule include a single slat grille and a new design for the air-dam. Changes to the interior of the model are likely to be limited to updated upholstery.
Powertrain options of the Tata Nexon facelift are expected to include BS-VI compliant versions of the 1.2-litre petrol unit and the 1.5-litre diesel unit. These engines will continue to be paired with a six-speed manual transmission and an AMT unit. Once launched, the Nexon facelift will rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Ford EcoSport and the Mahindra XUV300.
