Arabian supercar startup W Motors has made good its promise on working on the concept of the Lykan HyperSport which it officially unveiled earlier this year. The car will make its public debut at the 2013 Dubai Motor Show in November and plans are that only seven units of this car will be produced.
As we had earlier mentioned, here, the W Motors Lykan Hypersport is priced at $3.4 million and will not be sold in the US or western Europe. So in all probably it remains limited to the Middle East. Lykan might be looking to tackle hypercar legends like Ferrari, McLaren, Bugatti and Lamborghini.
The Lykan Hypersport will develop as much as 750 horsepower and is said to be capable of accelerating to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds and reaching a top speed of 245 mph. For a beginner in this segment, the car’s body has an aggressive countenance that demands attention. The chassis is said to be carbon fiber, and has been designed to incorporate a gold plated hood, signature diamond-encrusted LED lights and advanced technologies, including an interactive holographic display system in the cabin. All this and more bling pretty much justifies its lofty price tag.
W Motors is a boutique car manufacturer from the Middle East, and the probability is high that you've not heard of the company, since the Lykan is its first product. They are hoping to set a lot of benchmarks in terms of performance, technology and exclusivity.
