A production version of the Volkswagen Polo based T-Cross SUV has been spotted doing the rounds in Brazil. As the name suggests and as a part of Volkswagen’s grand plans for SUVs across its range, the T-Cross will be the high riding vehicle for the Polo family.
It was showcased as a convertible concept at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show and gave us an idea of where Volkswagen will go with its cars in the future. In this solitary photo, you can see the entire door and roofline visible. This is quite similar to the one seen on the Atlas as well as the T-Roc and it will give the vehicle its signature Volkswagen SUV design.
This new T-Cross (or whatever it is called in production form) will be based on MQB A0 platform that underpins the new generation Polo hatchback. It is an important car for India as VW is expected to localise the MQB A0 platform for India over the next three to four years and build a bunch of models off the next generation Polo.Â
